    Ben Sheard

    University of Nottingham

The Bens got involved with electric racing at the University of Nottingham, as undergraduates, reading Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, in early 2016. Being thrown in at the deep end, they helped with race preparation of the existing bike, as well as construction of an entirely new bike all in time for the TT in June. 2016 was done on a shoe-string and as a hobby, but still brought the team success with a podium finish at the Isle of Man and a championship win in Europe. For the new season this year, the Bens have taken lead roles in the development of the 2017 racing package, including two TT bikes, one Pike’s Peak international hill-climb entry, as well as short circuit racing specification machines.
