About the session

Utilities, contractors and highways are working together to minimise the impact of street works and have already achieved a considerable shift in the way street works are conducted.  This seminar will go a step further to explore the no dig network, examining innovative no-dig technologies and collaborative approaches to cut costs and duration and improve safety and customer service.

    Neil Bethell leads the No Dig Programme for National Grid’s Gas Distribution Business, seeking to transform the way the gas network is repaired, replaced and extended. Neil has 25 Years’ experience gained with British Gas, Transco and National Grid. The last five years has seen Neil leading Transformational Change in the Gas Transmission function, and successfully developing and delivering strategies for sustainable growth in pipeline maintenance and repair services for Utility and Oil Industry customers.Neil has previously led National Grid’s Pipeline Maintenance Centre providing a UK and Ireland Emergency Pipeline Repair service to the Oil and Gas Industry, having built his career in the construction, maintenance, and integrity management of gas networks.
