    Mitya joined Policy Connect in January 2016 and initially worked across Policy Connect's sustainability-themed activities on energy and climate change, the circular economy and sustainable resources, and the built environment and natural capital. Mitya is now the Manager of Carbon Connect, the cross-party policy research forum that seeks to inform and guide a low carbon transformation underpinned by sustainable energy.Mitya has a BA in Politics from the University of Sheffield and an MA in Politics & Contemporary History from the Institute of Contemporary British History at King’s College London.His interests outside of work include playing and watching football, reading and walking.

    Keith has worked across the energy industry, including 20 years at energy utility SSE where he was Policy and Research Director, and as advisor to UK and Scottish Government. He is Chair of UKERC and UKRIs Scientific Advisory Committee and was appointed to the NI Public Inquiry Team investigating the controversial Renewable Heat Incentive.Keith is founding director of Providence Policy providing independent energy advisory services and has published a number of papers on decarbonising the energy system with a particular focus on the challenges of the heat sector. He was awarded an OBE for services to energy in 2017.

    Oliver Lancaster

    Wales & West Utilities, Future energy project manager

    Oliver Lancaster is a Future of Energy Project Manager, leading the Freedom Project for Wales & West Utilities – a large scale demonstration trial of smart hybrid heating systems in the Bridgend ‘living heat lab’ in south Wales. Delivered alongside electricity network Western Power Distribution, it is the first collaborative future of energy project between gas and electricity networks. He has also led Wales & West Utilities work on developing the first national flood map to understand the impact climate change could have on the gas network.Before managing projects that will prepare the energy system of the future, Oliver worked on dealing with the legacy of the gas industries past as an Environmental Scientist and Consultant and Remediation Engineer. He also has significant experience in land management, stakeholder engagement, and was the Chair of IGEM Wales Section in 2014-15.

    Stefan Romocki has enjoyed a 20-year career in the oil & gas industry dedicated to the resolution of technical challenges through implementation of new technologies. A graduate of the University of Toronto, Stefan’s career began in Calgary, Alberta where he was voted one of Calgary Alberta’s Leaders of Tomorrow for his work in fostering innovation within the Canadian energy industry. More recently, Stefan relocated to the UK where he assembled an engineering team to lead development of new low-carbon solutions for energy conservation in process heating.
