Data processing challenges

Presents a summary of the work carried out to date as part of ELEXON's BSC Review of Smart Metering and AMR'. This includes: (1) the potential benefits of smart metering and AMR for the Settlement process; (2) the changes to the BSC which are likely to be required in order to facilitate a market driven rollout without introducing any undue risk to Settlement; and (3) the potential implications in terms of governance, industry roles and processes, use of the Half-Hourly market, implications for the Non-Half-Hourly market and profiling, and market data volumes.
