This presentation discusses computer data centre design and other notorious power-consuming installations. Energy efficiency is fast becoming the heart of data centre design requirements and the IET remains heavily engaged in data centre design techniques with this in mind. The presentation looks at what may replace the concept of "power usage effectiveness" (PUE) as a measure of how efficiently a data centre uses its power.
