    Jenny Woodruff

Western Power Distribution, Innovation & Low Carbon Networks Engineer

Jenny Woodruff has more years of experience in the energy industry than she’d like to admit to. Originally joining Midlands Electricity she has enjoyed a range of roles in electricity distribution including 11kV operational experience, managing substation maintenance and replacement, developing control room software, business ownership of engineering systems, developing network strategy and work in regulation. Now working in the Future Networks team, and a self-confessed “dataholic”, Jenny’s projects aim to meet the challenges and opportunities of moving to low carbon technologies and smart grids. She’s particularly interested in improving forecasting substation demand and exploiting the network monitoring data available from recent projects and preparing for the possibilities of smart meter data.
