The Fabless Semiconductor Association (FSA) and the IEE have joined forces to organise an event of Global significance for the Semiconductor industry in Europe. As the semiconductor industry emerges from its deepest ever recession, it will encounter a number of new challenges both in its geography and technology. This event examine the fabless semiconductor supply chain, its challenges and its opportunities for fabless semiconductor companies and their partners. It covers key developments in the Far East, with the emergence of China as a global player in the industry. At the same time, progress along the ITRS Roadmap continues unabated, with sub-100 nm process technology and 12-inch wafers resulting in a significant cost-of-entry barrier for all but the very largest players.
