Abstract

Cenex-LCV explored the latest research & development and commercially available vehicles in the low carbon and fuel cell technolgy sector. It partnered with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, the Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles, the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles, the Department for International Trade, the Advanced Propulsion Centre, the Automotive Council, Innovate UK, Zemo Partnership, Zenzic, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, and Connected Places Catapult.

Transport Minister Trudy Harrison said: “These Cenex events are an incredibly important staging post for the industry ahead of COP26, helping us focus our energies and share ideas as we continue to play our part in tackling the greatest challenge of the century. Working together we can not only create communities free from pollution, but develop a world leading electric vehicle supply chain here in the UK that will create thousands of jobs over the next decade.” The past 18 months have been a challenging time for everybody in the automotive industry, but the need to develop, promote and implement low carbon transport alternatives is more pressing than ever. Just as at previous events, LCV2021 and CAM2021 represent a tremendous opportunity for the automotive community to meet, showcase the latest low carbon technology, attend seminar sessions with industry experts, network with their peers, and enjoy test-track demonstrations.
