Kjell Jansson (1949) is managing director for Svensk Energi – Swedenergy – AB. Swedenergy is a non-profit industry organization representing companies involved in the production, distribution and trading of electricity in Sweden – with a total of 171 member groups. Including subsidiaries within these groups, the organization is made up of 355 individual member companies. During 1986 – 1990 he was Assistant UnderSecretary of State at the Ministry of Industry and 1990-91 UnderSecretary of state at the Ministry of Environment. 1992-98 he was Director General at Svenska Kraftnamp;#228;t (Swedish National Grid), 1998-2004 Director General at the Swedish Board of Customs, 2004-06 Director General at the Swedish Agency for economic and regional growth, 2006-08 Director General at Statistics Sweden.
