Abstract
In this #EngShort we look at #ArtificialIntelligence for #DrugDiscovery. The global #healthcare burden is growing, due to new infectious diseases and #AgeingPopulations but research and development into new drugs continues to be a long and costly process. On average it takes 10 to 15 years and just 1 in 10 drugs gain approval. To meet demands and prepare for the future, urgent action is needed to reconfigure the #ClinicalDevelopment business model.
