    Professor Danielle George

    Danielle Amanda George MBE is a Professor of Radio frequency engineering at Manchester University (UK) in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) and Associate Dean for Teaching and Learning.Danielle started her career working a Jodrell Bank Observatory as a senior microwave engineer. The next step on her career saw her take a role as lecturer in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.In 2014, Danielle was promoted to Professor at the age of only 38 being one of the youngest professors in Manchester University.Her work see’s her as the UK lead for amplifiers in the Square Kilometre Array (SKA), the Atacama Large Millimeter Array (ALMA) telescope and has worked with NASA and the European Space Agency on the development of instrumentation for researchers exploring the Big Bang.In 2014 Danielle become only the 6th women in 189 years to present the Royal Institution Christmas Lectures.
