We present a microwave photonic self-adaptive bandpass filter that performs filtering on the instantaneous frequency of an unknown microwave signal. The filter maintains a bandpass characteristic around the carrier frequency of the incoming signal making it applicable to frequency hopping communications and electronic warfare systems.
