    Assumpta Nantume, MSc - Research CoordinatorAssumpta is a Ugandan national with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and global health sectors. She holds a Master’s of Science in Global Health degree from Duke University, and is a Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of the Ministry of Health of Uganda, and a former Global Health Corps Fellow. From 2014 to 2017, she was Head of Regulatory Affairs at Lifeway Pharmaceutical Industries based in Mukono, Uganda, overseeing the development, registration and market approval of the company's drug products. As a research assistant at the Duke Malaria Collaboratory from 2017 to 2019, she focused on evaluating the risks associated with hydroxyurea use among sickle cell patients living in a malaria-endemic region.     Teresa Cauvel, MSc - Chief Technical Officer & Co-founderTeresa holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University (2016) and a Bachelors degree in Bioengineering from Santa Clara University (2014), and brings a blend of engineering, design, and product management skills to the team. Her academic research background in biotechnology and cell-based therapeutics, including a fellowship at Dow AgroSciences and graduate work in the Nanotherapeutics and Stem Cell Engineering Laboratory at Columbia, spurred her early dedication to finding innovative solutions to unanswered health challenges.
