About the session
The AECO industry has a problem. In addition to the current skills shortage we are set to face a further challange with the skills needed in the built environment changing as the sector embraces modern methods of construction. And as the sector shifts, the talent profile for existing workers and new entrants is evolving.
So how does the industry embrace the new skills landscape, and can future careers attract a new generation of employees? How can our training stay agile to manage the needs of today’s industry and develop the skills for the built environment of tomorrow? How important are new skills for enabling the industry to respond to the digital agenda and capitalise on innovative technology to make the sector more productive? How can new training technology, such as VR and AR, be best applied across the training landscape to improve learner experience and ease capacity pressures?
