About the session

We demonstrate an 88 silicon photonics multicast switch with on-chip SOAs. The number of SOA channels was extended by flip-chip bonding of two 4-ch SOAs. The on-chip SOAs exhibited a net gain of ~9 dB. With careful design and fabrication, lossless transmission will be feasible.
