Abstract
The IET has communities all over the world split into 5 regions, UK, South Asia, Asia Pacific, EMEA and Americas, and the YPCVC is an event for students and young professionals from all 5 to be together.
27 delegates between the ages of 18 and 35 from diverse backgrounds were invited, representing 19 different countries and the objectives for the day were:
- Delegates to inspire each other by sharing experiences of best practice
- Inform delegates of the latest IET developments and YP activity
- Provide a forum for delegates to influence how the IET works for YPs and students by joining in discussions and idea generation activities
It was a motivating and engaging day where we aimed to inspire delegates to go back to their local IET community and share their experience. The day was opened by IET president Nick Winser and closed by a motivational talk from Mark Yong of Garuda Robotics.
