Abstract
The first school that Femi went into was the one in which the book was set, and he hadn't been back to a school since he was a teenager. He finds librarians some of the most passionate people when it comes to education. Speaking with teenagers is both rewarding and challenging but Femi found that trusting their intelligence and jumping straight in with the maths works best, rather than trying to simplify the content. Taking them through a journey takes them from a position of fear to them realising that it's not too tricky and they are able to understand its relevance and meaning in real life.
