    EU BIM Task Group, Chair

    Adam is Head of International Affairs for the UK Government’s BIM Task Group, an initiative supported by the UK Government’s Department for Business, Innovation & Skills (BIS). Since 2013, he has led the formation of a public sector network, the ‘EU BIM Task Group’ and is Chair of the group following the European Commission’s award of co-funding for the project.As Head of Departmental Rollout (2012-13) for the UK BIM Task Group, Adam developed the training and engagement strategy for the central government departments to introduce BIM into their projects and procurement strategy. During this period, the public projects pipeline using BIM increased from £100m to circa £1bn.The EU BIM Task Group is a group of European public sector clients and policy advisers that have joined forces to develop and align common practices for the use and introduction of BIM into Europe’s public works.Adam has more than 20 years’ experience in the field of information technology and project management with a strong technical background in statistics, structured systems analysis, open standards, GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and BIM (Building Information Modelling). His sector experience includes retail, engineering, utilities, airports, energy and public policy.Adam is a certified project manager (ISEB) and holds an MBA from Kingston University specialising in sustainability and the application of public policy in the construction sector.
