Coexistence is a real problem in multi-standard handsets. Sound RF design and filtering is not enough. Detect-and-avoid techniques (e.g. adaptive frequency hopping) do not address the main issue for multi-standard devices. Last-minute packet arbitration helps, but is still not a complete solution.
