Abstract
At the Home of 2030: Design Competition Launch, an event hosted by the IET in collaboration with BRE and Home of 2030, we took the opportunity to find out what healthy living in homes mean. With different meanings to different people, we spoke to Gili Hobbs, Director of BRE, to find out what healthy living means to her. She discusses the need for healthy homes that consider thermal comfort, acoustics and air quality. Our future homes will also have to be built to tackle different issues such as resistance of flooding, overheating and water scarcity. All ideas for healthy living in homes needs to be brought together to create affordable and deliverable solutions.
