About the session

The IET/ IAM Asset Management conference covers all aspects of asset management including both principles and processes, technical and managerial aspects focusing on tools, standards, data and the application of business processes.     Martin Brough, Director, European Utilities Research, Deutsche BankMartin leads the European Utilities Equity Research team at Deutsche Bank. He has been working in the European utilities sector since 1993, including 7 years at the leading economic consultancy company Oxera, and 15 years at investments banks including Deutsche Bank and Dresdner Kleinworts. Martin is the only equities analyst to have won the StarMine award for best UK stockpicker twice, having achieved the best recommendation performance out of over 1000 analysts across all sectors.As a Director of Oxera, Martin led the company’s energy practice, advising companies, regulators, governments and investment funds on competition and regulatory issues in the sector. Recent policy engagement in addition to work with investors and corporate executives has included presentations at: JRC energy market reform, Chaired by Dominique Ristori (2013), Energy UK Annual Conference (2014), IEA Paris on Electricity Security (2013), Discussant at FOE State of Europe, hosted by Etienne Davignon (2014), World Economic Forum Future of Electricity (2014/15). Martin is a judge on the Utility Week Achievement Awards panel for 2015.Martin read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Oxford.
