This presentation gives a summary of the new spectrum environment as set out in Ofcom's Spectrum Framework Review: new technologies that might change spectrum usage, such as mesh, ultra wideband, smart antennas and cognitive radio; new ways of sharing spectrum, both licence-exempt and sharing with government usage; and the role of Ofcom, industry, academia and others in developing these ideas.
