University of Leeds Student Portal Presentation

This presentation launches the University of Leeds Student Portal (http://portal.leeds.ac.uk), which provides much of the information students require through one Web interface. There is a single, personalized, log-in to all the University systems students require, and students can use it for: online registration; viewing personal timetables; e-mail; a personal calendar; accessing the Library and Nathan Bodington resources; checking daily for important messages and information; and accessing the Progress File documentation. The Portal also provides: information about course modules, including online learning materials, reading lists and exam papers; lots of information from around the campus, including the latest news and announcements; and community tools, including discussion areas and groups.
