About the session

Stephanie Baxter, IET Education and Skills and Innovation and Emerging Technologies Lead, shared insights on our upcoming IET Skills & Demand in Industry 2020 Survey. Engineering is seen as the area in which most organisations report a skills gap, with over half saying so. Academia must work more closely with industry to provide the practical work skills individuals need and universities may need to refocus to prepare students for anticipated growth areas.
