UK Renewables – limitless energy or a precious resource?

• Climate change mitigation actions are consistent with the parallel need to enhance energy security and become less dependent on volatile international energy markets.

• Renewable resources are precious resources. We have a real opportunity to focus on creating an efficient energy system that delivers the outcomes that future generations will value. 

• This is not an organic process. All net-zero transition routes involve extensive new infrastructure and a real step change in strategic planning, investment, engagement, action and accountability.
