About the session

The 2016 Low Carbon Networks & Innovation Conference provides an opportunity to explore the key learnings from electricity and gas network innovation projects. The programme will provide unparalleled networking opportunities in addition to project focused presentations and workshops.

Co-hosted by Electricity North West and taking place at the iconic Manchester Central, the LCNI Conference will be held on 11-13 October 2016. The conference and exhibition will be the UK's must-attend electricity and gas network innovation event for 2016.

    David is an Innovation Manager within UK Power Networks, delivering a wide portfolio of smart grid and business improvement projects. He has worked within UK Power Networks for the last six years, working as an engineer in Network Operations and Planning before moving into innovation where he has held Design Authority, Project Manager, and Smart Networks Standards & Policy Lead positions. David has been centrally involved in both delivering smart grid demonstrators and integrating smart solutions into business as usual.David also sits on a range of industry standards working groups and technical forums in order to develop and promote new smart grid policies for inclusion in the UK technical standards, codes of practice, and regulatory strategies, particularly related to demand side response and shared-services, smart grids benefits tracking, and smart metering.
