Residential flexibility has significant potential to help in the transition to a renewable power system, but also comes with challenges.
First of all, solutions should be able to onboard millions of assets, resulting in challenges from a computational perspective.
Second, flexibility activations in low-voltage systems may cause local congestions, causing challenges from a power system perspective.
Third, markets and regulations should facilitate to exploit residential assets' full flexibility potential.
This talk will dive deeper into these challenges and potential solutions to overcome them.
