Towards wide area machine-to-machine communications

This presentation discusses the adoption of IEEE 802.15.4 and 3GPP LTE for wide-area network machine-to-machine (M2M) communication. It outlines the speaker's vision of enabling smart cities by fully leveraging the large-scale deployment of smart metering communication networks.
