Equal capacity C- and L-band unrepeatered links with high-order Raman co- and counter distributed amplification were compared. Experiments using 40 channels with 100 GHz subcarrier-based frequency-domain 8-dimension advanced modulation format have shown that the budget of the L-band link was ~ 2 dB higher.
