Hybrid Air Vehicles is the British company behind Airlander, the world’s largest aircraft, which has just taken to the skies this year. It is also one of the greenest aircraft on the planet, and has unprecdeneted endurance and a go-anywhere capabilty. Everything Airlander does is of huge public and media interest, and it lives the up’s and down’s of a Flight Test Programme of a brand new type of aircraft in the full glare of publicity. Airlander will continue ifs flght testing in 2017. Chris’ role covers funding, media, comms and Government relations and his role also encompasses partnership opportunities with major brands and within Airlander’s supply chain. He has set up Airlander’s STEM programme and its supporter’s Airlander Club in addition to creating the Airlander brandChris studied mathematics at Oxford University and has an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona. He was awarded a Flying Scholarship by the Royal Air Force, and went on to gain his Private Pilots Licence and has kept a lifelong interest in aviation. Chris has had many years of experience in a range of industries and in high profile roles as diversified as Trading Floor investment banking and professional expedition leading. Most recently Chris was Head of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games B2B Activation at Lloyds Banking Group. Chris joined Hybrid Air Vehicles Ltd 3 years ago.
