About the session

In the UK, the cost of electricity and gas is set to rise over the coming years, and this will have a severe impact on how we heat and cool our homes and buildings. With increasing pressure on energy security and the transition to low-carbon generation, the industry is re-thinking how to generate, transport and use heat. This panel discussion looks at how the industry is working to find a solution around sustainable heating, the key players in the market and the challenges and opportunities they face. The cross-sector target is to provide recommendations aligned with DECC's Gas Strategy and the pending UK government's Heat Policy. The debate focuses on policy, consumers, developers, suppliers and service provider needs, and key points are summarized at the end of the discussion.
