This presentation gives an introduction to sustainability and life cycle approach. A legislative overview and EuP Framework Directive is given. The EuP directive is for: (1) new requirements for the provision of information relating to design and environmental performance of a product over its entire life cycle, (2) new challenges for designers and manufacturers, and (3) the application of eco-design principles. The presentation also focuses on some intellect sustainability activities.
