About the session
If there’s one thing you’ll be more aware of than the BIM Mandate it’s that we’ve got an incredible skills gap in the industry. Like many things, there isn’t a quick and easy solution, or is there?
The digital revolution that’s taking place in our industry is radically changing the way we design, build, and manage our built environment. There are incredible examples of innovation and technology in use across the entire industry. These new ways of working and technologies could offer the key to helping create a more rich and diverse industry. Encouraging younger generations to look at the built environment differently, helping create a more aspirational environment to work in. They could also hold the power to helping educate and upskill our current workforce, ensuring that we continue to benefit from the incredible knowledge and expertise already available.
From university partnerships to Minecraft for BIM, Schools competitions to online coaching and digital mentoring. This session is about real life examples of strategies in place. You will gain an insight into the ways that you too can help answer the question of the skills shortage in your own business and the important role of innovation and technology in changing the face of our built environment.
