Abstract
It’s not every year, or even every decade, that an institution reaches such an incredible milestone, so to celebrate our 150th anniversary with the rest of the world, we’re broadcasting a one-hour magazine programme each day of our anniversary week, called the 150 Show.
We’ve invited difference makers from across the world to be guests on the show to talk about the incredible work they are doing to engineer a better world for us all.
Technology has a huge role to play in our shaping future. The pace of technological change has increased so quickly that one decade’s must-have gadget can become obsolete the next. So, what will tomorrow’s world look like? We want to inspire and get people excited about engineering a better future by showing them the limitless possibilities of invention and advancement.
Our show on digital futures looks at where engineering and technology can take us in the next 30 years. From self-driving everything and social robots to cheap space flights and intelligent food, it’s young people’s imaginations today that will shape tomorrow.
