We are looking forward to celebrating the 40th anniversary of the IET Young Woman Engineer (YWE) of the Year Awards this year.
The YWE Awards were conceived to address the shortage of women engineers, in the UK by recognising and celebrating their talent and potential to become role models for the next generation.
This year we look forward to celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Awards!
Forty years on and women still only make up 9% of the engineering workforce in the UK. (#9PercentIsNotEnough) these awards have become one of the UK's leading engineering accolades and their aims remain more important than ever.
