Abstract
This year our Faraday Challenge Days have involved over 400 schools across the UK in our biggest season to date. Budding young engineers aged 11 and 12 have been taking up the task of coding their BBC micro:bit for a real-life application within a theme of their choice from Health, Sport, Travel and Home & Leisure. Each team of 6 students had to develop two products and at the end of the day pitch their final product to the judges.
The top five teams from the 2015/16 season will be going head-to-head at the National Final to win up to £1000 for their school. They will also have received an all-expenses paid trip to the event and tours/activities around Bletchley Park during the morning of this event.
