Too few women hold senior posts in academia particularly in the sciences. The task for those already in a senior position is to change attitudes and perceptions. This requires a special set of leadership skills. Change will not come through diktat. This presentation examines how leadership can be exercised to bring about change. The speaker outlines the special set of leadership skills required for women in senior positions in academia to bring about change in attitudes and perceptions.
