    Tony Milbourn is responsible for strategy at u-blox, a Swiss company selling modules and chips that support cellular communications and location in consumer products.Tony has a worked in the wireless industry for 25 years, based almost entirely in Melbourn. He was Executive Chairman at Cognovo, a spin-out from ARM recently acquired by u-blox, for 3 years. Previously Tony was CEO of TTP Communications from the time that it started in 1988 through an IPO on the London Stock Exchange in 2000 and onward to its acquisition by Motorola in 2006. Over that time the team grew from a handful to 700; revenues peaking at $120m per annum. From 2000 to 2006 Tony was also Chairman of ip.access, the femtocell business spun out from TTPCom, and sat on the boards of international subsidiaries of TTP Communications plc. For two years, 2008/9, Tony was also a non-executive Director at Light Blue Optics, also based in Cambridge

    Thomson Reuters, Head of Advanced Product Innovation,

    Robert Schukai is the Head of Advanced Product Innovation for Thomson Reuters. In addition to overseeing the development and execution of the mobile growth strategy across the organization, his remit also includes the development new capabilities and experiences around data visualization and predictive analytics for desktop, mobile, wearable devices, and other products.He serves as an ambassador to New York City and the east coast of the United States for the London Tech City initiative, driven by the British government and the United Kingdom Trade and Investment group.Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, Schukai was the Vice President of Wireless/Broadband Technologies for Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., (TBS, Inc.) from 2005-2010. During that time, he was responsible for global research and development activities for TBS, Inc. in the areas of mobile/wireless, broadband, Internet protocol television (IPTV) and games. He also led the technology strategy and deployment for Turner’s mobile web and applications platforms, including analytics and advertising solutions.Schukai spent eighteen years working for Motorola, Inc., in the United States and United Kingdom. In his last role at Motorola, he served as director of global 3G strategy and business development for Motorola, overseeing global strategy and business development activities for 3G handsets. While at Motorola, he held roles in research and development, product development, engineering management, marketing, strategy, and business development.Schukai holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and a Master's degree in electrical engineering from Arizona State University. He is a 29-year member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a technical and professional association of more than 365,000 individual members in approximately 150 countries.In 2014, he was named a Member of the British Empire (MBE) in the Queen’s 2014 New Year Honours List for services to British trade and investment and for promotion of STEM education.

    Howard Benn

    Howard started his career in the fixed telecommunication sector (Plessey) back in 1982, did his degree and PhD at Bradford University, moving into radio based communications in 1989. As one of the fathers of GSM he started working in ETSI GSM standards committees in 1993, helping create 3GPP and chairing 3GPP RAN 4 from 1998 to 2007. He has been a board member of ETSI since 2008, a member of the ICANN Nomcom in 2013, and a member of the Strategy Advisory Board for the UK 5G innovation centre at Surrey University. His current role is ‘Head of Standards and Industrial Affairs’ for Samsung Electronics R&D Institute in the UK, managing a team of engineers covering ETSI, 3GPP, ATSC, GSMA. His team is also very active in the EU Horizon 2020 program with a focus on the 5G PPP activities.
