Abstract

In this #EngShort we look at #HealthyAgeing and the role #ArtificialIntelligence (AI) plays. The world’s #elderly populations are growing exponentially, but global #healthcare provision is not. It’s a situation that requires automated healthcare delivery to meet the physical and mental #wellbeing needs of older people across a longer lifespan. To achieve this we need to reinvent health and care systems using improved #data, #bioscientific measurement and research. Advanced tech like AI and data science are core to developing new generation healthcare solutions. AI-powered game players and friend-finding services are among the #innovations here. And AI carers can provide diet and exercise coaches and #medical screening to tell seniors when to see the doctor. To continue supporting healthy ageing, AI will be crucial to data scientists. How can we reinvent health and care systems using improved data and research? Comment below to let us know!
