This talk reviews the latest advances on infrastructure-free indoor positioning using inertial and opportunistic positioning. It discusses the use of commodity smartphones as the core positioning device and the associated algorithms such as SLAM (Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping) that are gaining popularity.
