Abstract
In 1848, 800 Scientists attended the 18th Meeting of the British Association for the Advancement of Science, held in the Royal Institution of South Wales in Swansea (Before Brunel had extended his railway line from Bristol to Swansea).In 2007, 600 primary and secondary pupils during the week and 75 adults on the Saturday were “transported” back in time to 1848 to meet Faraday, Wheatstone and Grove etc (played by Actors from the Chance Encounters Company).
