- Part of event SESAR and Challenges to the ATM Industry
About the session
The Single European Sky ATM Programme is the core European activity for civil ATM changes over the next decade and more. The French element of SESAR is centred in Toulouse, where the French Technical Service (DSNA), Airbus and many other aviation industries are located. The ways in which civil air traffic will evolve and be managed are changing through SESAR. Learn about what is planned and the challenges for intelligent aircraft to work with increasingly capable ground systems to bring better levels of service to all concerned.
SESAR is the Single European Sky ATM Research programme - the European equivalent of the FAA's "NextGen" programme
SESAR is investing more than 2billion Euros until 2020 and beyond, engaging in roughly equal measure: the European Commission, European Industry and Eurocontrol
Now 10 years into its programme, the fruits of research are becoming ripe for deployment. As always, this is a challenge to the cost consciousness of Airlines, Avionics manufacturers and Air Navigation Service Providers
