    Loughborough University, School of Electronic, Electrical and Systems Engineering, Professor of Renewable Energy

    Philip Eames was appointed to the Chair in Renewable Energy at Loughborough University in 2008 and became Director of the Centre for Renewable Energy Systems Technology (CREST) in 2009. Prior to this he held the Chairs in Energy Efficiency and Conservation at the University of Warwick and Solar Energy Applications at the University of Ulster. He has been undertaking research in the Renewable Energy area for over 20 years with research funding to support his research obtained from funding bodies including the EPSRC, EU, and TSB. He has published over 170 papers, regularly undertakes reviews for a range of journals and serves on technical and organising committees of International Conferences. He is currently a member of the European Academies Science Advisory Council (EASAC) working group on concentrating solar power.
