    John Lawson

    Lawson Modelmakers , Managing Director

John Lawson joined the RAF as an aircraft technician apprentice in 1971, and went on to work on Buccaneer and Vulcan aircraft as well as advanced missile systems.Leaving the RAF in 1984, he started a modelmaking and prototype manufacturing business and has continued to work with many of the worlds’ major defence and engineering companies such as Rolls Royce, BAE Systems, Boeing and General Dynamics. His involvement with the Bugatti 100p project began some 4 ½ years ago when he discovered the project through a chance conversation with a client. Offering his modelmaking services to the project quickly led to him being asked to design and oversee manufacture of the nose mounted gearbox which was finally completed and installed in the aircraft in April 2013. John continues to be the engineering director for the project.
