About the session
Analogue media have almost been superseded by digital media. This process, which could have taken much longer, has been facilitated by the existence of standards and practical means to remunerate holders of technology rights and by easy access to content.This presentation discusses the following questions: what are the directions of the next steps in digital media technology evolution?; how will incentives to technology developers be supported?; and how will content remuneration be balanced with access rights?
