Session 5 Lifecycle, ageing and risk management 1 Session chair: John Steed, JS Risk Management Ltd, UK

The IET Conference on the Resilience of Transmission and Distribution Networks returns after a very successful 2015 conference hosting brand new work presented from leading industry and academia across key areas of the transmission industry.

RTDN 2017 is returning to the BCEC at the Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre providing a well-established technical forum, to hear current technical work, innovative research and practical application of technology aiming to address the challenges and solutions in improving the resilience and reliability of transmission and distribution networks across the globe.

The conference programme boasts pioneering contributions on developmental work for both networks and infrastructure from leading industry and academia and delegates have the opportunity to exchange knowledge with them and put themselves and their organisations ahead of the game.

Sessions covered at this 3 day event are all around key ‘hot topic’ areas including embedded generation, life cycle considerations, condition assessment and monitoring and network protection.
