Sincethe early 2000s she has beentesting the possibilities forpublishing such materials online,with two corpora of inscriptionsin 2004 and 2007 (http://insaph.kcl.ac.uk/), another in 2009(http://inslib.kcl.ac.uk/irt2009/)and a literary text in 2013(http://www.ancientwisdoms.ac.uk/library/kekaumenos-consiliaet-narrationes/). This has led her into working on Open Access,and the issues of sustainability and data management which suchpublications raise. She is now Emeritus Professor of Digital HellenicStudies at King’s College London (http://orcid.org/0000-0002-3606-2049).

    AMY BRAND was namedDirector of the MIT Press in July2015. She had previously servedas VP Academic and ResearchRelations and VP North Americaat Digital Science. From 2008to 2013 Brand worked atHarvard University, first asProgram Manager of the Officefor Scholarly Communicationand then as Assistant Provostfor Faculty Appointments andInformation. Before moving to Harvard she held long-term positionsas an Executive Editor at the MIT Press and as Director of Businessand Product Development at Crossref. Brand serves on the NationalAcademy of Sciences Board on Research Data and Information,the Duraspace Board of Directors, was a founding member of theORCID Board and regularly advises on key community initiativesin digital scholarship. She holds a BA in Linguistics from BarnardCollege and a PhD in cognitive science from MIT
