Panel - Innovate UK DER-IC Case Studies

This showcase session will contain a series of short presentations by DER-IC industry partners on the developments they have achieved using DER-IC funded technologies.

The UK is just a few years into a 30-year journey to meet its Net Zero obligations. Much has already been achieved to set us on the right path, but there is much yet to be achieved to transition our economy away from fossil fuels. The £80m Innovate UK Driving the Electric Revolution (DER) Challenge has paved the way for PEMD technologies to help power this transition and the DER Industrialisation Centres are providing development and scale-up facilities for UK manufacturers to accelerate and de-risk their electrification journeys. This session will provide an update on the DER-IC project, highlight three of our industrial partners’ projects and provide a Q&A panel discussion opportunity to engage with delegates to tease out issues and next steps.

Transformation from Diesel to Electrics - UK Journey with APC, Innovate UK and DER

This talk will outline the transformation that predominantly diesel manufacturer Cummins underwent and continues to undergo between 2010 and 2030. It will discuss how this transformation innovation is driven by projects supported by APC Innovate UK and DER funding. As well as providing an overview of future predictions, including the shift towards electrification.
