Abstract
This #EngShort by the IET looks at the responsibility we all have in addressing our #climateimpact. In our recent IET Green Preferences Survey, we asked UK respondents who’s responsibility it is to address #climatechange. UK adults place 23% of total responsibility with their national Government, 16% of this responsibility at the individual level, and 10% on #scienceandtechnology. Despite the Government being seen as the main enabler for change, individual choices have a major impact. The success of the financial penalty on #plasticbags results in 9 in 10 UK adults using their own shopping bags. 51% of UK adults recycle #foodwaste and batteries but 15% are not able to because of the area they live in. Who do you think is responsible for reducing our climate impact?
