Full presentation title: O-band transmission of 92-Gbaud PAM4 with 20-GHz limitation using nonlinear spectral shaping and 2-memory MLSE.

We propose a combination scheme of nonlinear trellis-coded-modulation and 2-memory MLSE to realize spectral shaping for PAM signal. We show that the proposed ttechnique achieves KP4-FEC threshold for 184-Gb/s 10-km O-band transmission with 20-GHz bandwidth limitation in which the channel-shortening filter has only 5 taps.
